Abstract: The aim of this study is the synthesis of ethylcellulose/clays nanocomposites by a very simple approach for an application as an electrocatalytic support of the oxidation of Dopamine. This electrochemical sensor was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Thermal analysis (TGA/DTA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Transmission Electronic Microscopy (TEM). The results indicates that the proposed sensor has good electrocatalytic activity towards the oxidation of dopamine and exhibits a low detection limit of 1.15x10-6M, a wide linear range of 2,5x10-7–7,65x10-7M and fast response
